How to Sole Source to Node.Digital

Identify the Procurements Needs

The first step in the sole sourcing process is to clearly define procurement needs by developing a statement of work, estimating costs, and securing funding. Engaging key stakeholders early ensures alignment with project goals and budget constraints, leading to a more efficient procurement strategy.

01

Verify 8(a) Eligibility

Confirm Node.Digital’s status as an active SBA 8(a) participant through the SBA Dynamic Small Business Search (DSBS) or by contacting the SBA. The government program manager then selects Node.Digital as the qualified 8(a) vendor and submits a procurement request to the agency’s contracting officer, initiating the sole source process.

02

Submit an Offering Letter to SBA

The contracting officer submits an offering letter to the SBA District Office, identifying Node.Digital as the intended 8(a) firm. The letter should include:

  • Project description and scope

  • Estimated contract value

  • Period of performance

  • NAICS code

E-mail 8(a) Offering Letter to dcofferletters@sba.gov

Please address the 8(a) Offering Letter to:

Shuraie Mackin

Deputy District Director /8(a) Business Development

Washington Metropolitan Area District Office 409 3rd Street, SW Second Floor Washington, DC 20416

03

SBA Approval and Authorization

The SBA reviews and processes the offering letter. Once approved, the contracting officer can negotiate and award the contract to Node.Digital.

04

Contract Negotiation and Scope Finalization

Node.Digital submits a proposal for evaluation. The contracting officer reviews the proposal and negotiates terms if necessary to ensure alignment with project goals and budget requirements.

05

Award the Contract

After SBA authorization, the contracting officer awards the sole source contract to Node.Digital.
